PSAT/NMSQT is offered at TRHS

Students are encouraged to register online at MyPaymentPlus

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a standardized test that provides practice for the SAT. It also gives students a chance to enter National Merit Scholarship Corporation scholarship programs and gain access to college and career planning tools. The PSAT measures critical reading skills, math problem-solving skills, and writing skills.

  • Reasons for taking the PSAT:

    • Receive feedback on strengths and weaknesses on skills necessary for college study. Students can then focus his/her preparation on those areas that could most benefit from additional practice.

    • Students can compare his/her test performance with that of a nationwide group of students planning to enter college.

    • Enter the competition for scholarships from National Merit Scholarship Competition (grade 11).

    • Help prepare for the SAT by becoming familiar with the kinds of questions and directions seen on the SAT.

    • Receive information from colleges if you decide to participate in the Student Search Service.

AP Tests are offered at TRHS

Students are encouraged to register through the AP Classroom in November
