• Hey JUNIORS!  Our first Silent Auction meeting will be next Tuesday, September 8 at 2:45 in Room 203.  This is a great opportunity to get involved with your class and raise money for upcoming events like prom!  See Mrs. Foreman or Mrs. Kaplan with questions! 
• Looking for a GREAT way to start your Friday? Join FCA! All students are welcome to join Fellowship of Christian Athletes THIS Friday for breakfast, conversation, connection, and a positive start to your day! Bring a friend and come check it out this Friday from 6:50 - 7:20 in room 203! 
• Student Guest Forms for Homecoming are now available in the Activities Office.  A student is permitted ONE GUEST or DATE (also known as your +1) for the dance.  If that guest/date is NOT a Roosevelt or CTE student, then you must complete the form prior to purchasing tickets. Forms are due by Friday, September 18.
• This Friday Roosevelt Yoga Club will have their first meeting in Room 114 during your lunch period! Please see Mrs. Cammel or Mrs. Simpkins if you have any questions about joining yoga club! 
• Howdy to all you creatives out there! Perception is Roosevelt’s art and literary magazine. If you would like to be part of creating that magazine—join the club! The 1st meeting of the year is TODAY, Thursday the 3rd in room 129.  Be there at the end of the school day to meet and greet the Perception Crew. Keep an eye out for submission calls and get your work published this year!  See Mr. Baker or Ms. Heff with any questions.
• The first GSA meeting of the year is today at 2:35 in the library! Whether you’re returning or brand new, everyone is welcome. Come meet some people, learn what GSA is all about, and help us plan for the year ahead. Hope to see you there! 
• Roughriders, please secure your parking pass for this year, ticketing will begin next week.  Please make sure you sign your final forms parking information and bring your license when you pick up your parking pass.  Roosevelt students please see Mrs. D'Sidocky to pick up your permit, incoming CTE students see Mrs. Weiss.
• Student Council will be selling grass skirts, sunglasses and leis during lunch today and tomorrow for Friday’s football game beach theme.
• If you missed the Speech and Debate meeting this week, there is still time to join. See Mrs. White in room 117 for an info packet and come to the meeting after school on Tuesday.  
• Howdy you rowdy Rough Riders, did you order a 2025-2026 Yearbook? If so--they're hot off the press and waiting for you to pick them up! Stop by the concession stand during your lunch period to pick yours up--and while you're there, support the student council and get some beach gear for this week's football game. 
• Freshmen…it’s election time!! If you are interested in running for class officer or class representative for your class, pick up an election packet in the Activities Office and join the 2026-27 Student Council Google classroom for information. The classroom code is u7bkiodj
